InTone Gains What’s Lost in Translation, and $1.7 million

A voice AI startup Raises $1.7 million in Seed Round

San Francisco-based startup, InTone, has made waves in the tech world with its groundbreaking AI-powered voice platform for real-time accent enhancement. The company recently secured $1.7 million in seed funding from esteemed investors such as Yellow Rocks!, A.Partners, and influential business angels from the BPO and AI industries. This comes on the heels of a successful funding round in 2021, where InTone raised $105K from the Berkeley SkyDeck Fund and angel investors.

The new capital injection will be instrumental in fueling InTone's expansion plans. The company aims to scale its operations by targeting new Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMB) and Enterprise Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) customers in key regions such as India, the Philippines, and LATAM. InTone's voice technology was launched earlier this year in India, and with the fresh funding, the company plans to further develop its product offerings, establish strong partnerships with existing customers, and penetrate the call center industry in targeted regions, including Pakistan.

InTone represents a shining example of how the AI era is revolutionizing the way we overcome language barriers. Founded in 2021 by Andrew Golman and Egor Pavalyaev, InTone offers an on-device accent-enhancement platform that works in real-time, empowering people globally to communicate more effectively. Unlike traditional voice technologies that focus on individual words, InTone employs deep neural networks to concentrate on sounds, allowing for real-time accent enhancement, even with rare words, technical terms, and proper names.

Valerie Bertele, the Head of San Francisco office at Yellow Rocks!, expressed excitement about InTone's positive social impact and its collaborations with major players in the call center industry. "InTone's technology is already helping build better connections with customers over the phone, particularly in countries like the Philippines and India," she shared.

Every day, millions of people engage in conversations across continents via phone calls, VOIP, and messaging platforms. By eliminating misunderstandings and the need for constant repetition, InTone not only enhances productivity but also fosters a deeper level of understanding and collaboration. InTone's cutting-edge technology processes English speech and seamlessly transposes regional accents into neutral British or American English in real-time. Leveraging modern neural AI models, InTone operates through a virtual audio device and seamlessly integrates with all major calling software and dialers.
