Dutch deep tech start-up Reyedar secures €3M to revolutionize disease screening

Reyedar: Transforming Eye Care with Innovative Tech. Expansion and Launch of First Product

Dutch start-up Reyedar pioneers deep tech solutions for early detection of age-related degenerative diseases like glaucoma, Parkinson's, and multiple sclerosis. With eye-tracking sensors and deep learning, Reyedar aims to improve treatment outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.

Reyedar emerges as a spin-out from the University Medical Center Groningen, specializing in ophthalmology. Securing €3 million in funding, the company is poised to revolutionize the eye care market and positively impact millions affected by degenerative conditions.

"The funding empowers us to expand our team, launch groundbreaking products, and enhance the lives of those battling age-related diseases," says Dr. Alessandro Grillini, Founder, and CEO of Reyedar.

Cottonwood Technology Fund leads the funding round, accompanied by NOM, Pupil Labs, Uneti Ventures, and existing investor Blue Sparrows MedTech Fund. Patrick Claessen, Partner at Cottonwood Technology Fund, expresses excitement to support Reyedar's game-changing technology, providing actionable medical insights through eye movement analysis and fostering healthier aging worldwide.
