Fertifa Raises £5M to Revolutionize Workplace Reproductive Health

Empowering Employees: London Start-up Puts Reproductive Health Support at their Fingertips, Expands with New Services

London-based SaaS start-up Fertifa is transforming the landscape of employee well-being with its innovative platform focused on reproductive, hormonal, and sexual health. With a comprehensive range of services covering fertility preservation, planning, IVF, menopause, contraception, and more, Fertifa has emerged as a leader in the field. Today, the company proudly announces the successful completion of a £5 million Seed round, signaling a major milestone in its growth trajectory.

Founded in 2019 by Tony Chen and Nick Kuan, Fertifa has experienced exponential revenue growth over the past year, witnessing a remarkable 10x increase. This recent funding infusion will further enhance the platform's offerings and fuel the expansion of its dedicated team. Additionally, Fertifa plans to launch adjacent services, including treatment financing, to provide a holistic reproductive health experience.

Fertifa's exceptional track record in administering employer allowances and reimbursements has solidified its reputation as a trusted partner for businesses of all sizes. Through employer-funded allowances, the platform has processed reimbursement claims, resulting in significant savings of over £1.5 million for patients. Moreover, Fertifa's meticulous compliance efforts have identified ineligible claims, saving employees nearly £250,000.

The Seed round was led by prominent investors Triple Point and Notion Capital, with participation from Conviction, Calm/Storm, EQT Foundation, Tiny.vc, and a group of esteemed angel investors. These strategic partnerships will not only support Fertifa's growth in the UK but also facilitate its expansion across Europe.

Recognizing the significant care gap in reproductive health across Europe, Manuel Antunes, Investment Manager at Triple Point Ventures, emphasizes the alignment between Fertifa's vision and the American payer system's success. Fertifa has emerged as a frontrunner in the UK market, poised to replicate its triumphs in Europe.

With an impressive roster of clients, including lululemon, Meta, Bain Capital, Space NK, and Virgin, Fertifa's platform caters to businesses of all sizes, from SMEs to the corporate sector. Moreover, the company has partnered with Aviva UK to provide comprehensive services through its Family Planning and Fertility Benefit for Optimum and Optimum Referral schemes.

Eileen Burbidge, Executive Director of Fertifa and Partner at Passion Capital, brings invaluable expertise and firsthand experience to the team. Having held operational roles at Monzo Bank, Tide, and Skype, Burbidge's deep understanding of reproductive health journeys, combined with her personal story involving IVF and motherhood, drives Fertifa's mission to deliver unrivaled employee well-being support.

As Fertifa continues its journey to empower individuals and create positive impact through reproductive health, the company remains committed to driving the commercial business case for employee well-being. With its unmatched expertise and dedication, Fertifa is primed to revolutionize the European market, transforming the way employers support their workforce during pivotal and sensitive moments of their reproductive health journeys.
