Fastned, the Amsterdam-based trailblazer in EV fast-charging, has once again showcased its impressive prowess by securing an additional €30.4 million through the issuance of new bonds. What's more, existing investors demonstrated unwavering confidence by contributing an additional €3.5 million to this funding round, elevating the total raised to a remarkable €33.9 million.

These bonds, offering an enticing 6% coupon rate and a 5-year maturity period, mark the 13th round within Fastned's dynamic bond program. The cumulative investment from retail investors has now surged to an impressive €163 million.

This influx of funds will further bolster Fastned's mission to expand its electric vehicle fast-charging network across the European landscape. Founded in 2012 by Michiel Langezaal and Bart Lubbers, Fastned envisions a future where electric transportation is the norm, driven by a robust and expansive fast-charging infrastructure.

At present, the company operates over 150 stations and has ambitious plans to add 60 more by the end of 2023, followed by an impressive 400 additional stations by 2025. These strategically located charging stations are a lifeline for EV owners, boasting charging speeds of up to 350 kW, allowing electric vehicles to gain up to 300 km of range in just 15 minutes.

Fastned's footprint extends across the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Belgium, with a strong presence at rest stops along Dutch highways. The company's commitment to fostering electric mobility is further evidenced by the 280 fast charging stations it has built across the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, and Switzerland.

Looking ahead, Fastned's expansion is set to reach even more corners of Europe, with plans to open its first station in Denmark by the end of 2023 and another in Italy by the end of 2024. This bold vision for the future places Fastned at the forefront of EV charging infrastructure, offering drivers the convenience and speed they need to embrace electric mobility. Fastned is proudly listed on Euronext Amsterdam, underscoring its commitment to sustainable transportation.
